# 【Just Before Valentine's Day】"Shonan Girls Choose" Ranking of Towns They Want to Spend Time with Their Lovers! #1 is "Enoshima," Meanwhile 1 in 3 Say "Haven't Decided Anything in Particular"
~Drawn to Classic Spots, Yet Wanting to Avoid Crowds: The True Love Psychology of Shonan Women Revealed~
Roomap (roomap), a real estate service specializing in the Shonan and Kamakura areas, operated by Garage Standard Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Toshizumi Hotta), conducted an "awareness and behavioral survey regarding Valentine's Day" targeting women residing in the Shonan and Kamakura areas.
This survey examined not only dating consciousness through the question "which area do you want to spend Valentine's Day in," but also explored the distance between romance and daily life, such as "places where you want to convey or receive love" and "areas where you want to live in the future."
As a result, it became clear that while "Enoshima" is supported as a classic spot among Shonan women, a value system that doesn't strongly prioritize location is spreading.

<Survey Summary>
・The #1 area among Shonan women for spending Valentine's Day with a partner: Enoshima (20.8%)
・However, 33.2% answered "haven't decided anything in particular," making it the largest group
・The deciding factors for date locations: "quiet and relaxing," "good atmosphere" ranked highest
・Approximately 46% of respondents did not cite a specific place for "conveying or receiving love"
The Area Most Chosen by Shonan Women on Valentine's Day: Enoshima
When asked about the "Shonan area where they would most like to spend Valentine's Day with their partner," Enoshima came in first at 20.8%. This was followed by Kamakura (10.4%) and Shichirigahama (4.5%), with classic Shonan areas continuing the trend.
Enoshima appears to be supported as a symbolic destination for Valentine's Day dates due to its ocean views, night scenery, and abundance of restaurants.
Yet One in Three Haven't Decided
~Valentine's perspective unbound by location~
However, what's noteworthy is that 33.2% answered "haven't decided anything in particular," making it the most common response. This result suggests that many Shonan women are not bound by the fixed idea that "because it's Valentine's Day, we should go somewhere special."
It appears they prioritize the flow of the day and their relationship with their partner over the glamour of a special event.
The Deciding Factor for Date Locations: Atmosphere Over "Romance"
When asked about the reasons for choosing the area mentioned in the previous question, a tendency emerged to prioritize atmosphere such as "quiet and relaxing" and "easy to talk," rather than "romantic coastal charm."
・Quiet and relaxing (16.5%)
・Abundant cafes and restaurants (15.7%)
・Beautiful sunset or night view (14.8%)
From these results, we can infer that a natural atmosphere where conversation flows freely and comfort are prioritized over flashy production or extraordinary experiences.
Prioritizing Relationships Over "Confession Spots" ~Approximately Half Don't Cite a Specific Location~
In the question asking about "Shonan spots where you want to convey or receive love," Enoshima came in first at 23.3%. However, when combining "none in particular" (32.2%) and "don't know" (13.4%), approximately 46% of respondents did not prioritize a specific location.
This suggests that many Shonan women value their relationship with their partner and the right timing more than conventional scenarios where "a confession would succeed at this location."
[Summary/Consideration] What Shonan Women Seek Isn't "Location" but "Human Warmth"
This survey reveals that for Shonan women, Valentine's Day is not perceived as "an event to be spent at a special place," but rather as a day to cherish the distance and atmosphere between them and their partner.
While Enoshima emerged as the symbolic area with the highest percentage, the fact that many people don't strongly prioritize location suggests that what is being valued is the "natural relationship" that the Shonan area itself provides.
What Shonan women are seeking may not be flashy production, but rather the "warmth" that flows between people.
